"At the end of the day" Creating bedroom for the Harrisburg Sympony Decorator Showhouse

At last I will show you the progressive story of my showhouse room.

At the 2006 showhouse I did the Master Bedroom. It became a setting in my showroom.  Last summer it was sold.  Needing a replacement, I went through the empty house looking for a bedroom to decorate.  After I selected the one I wanted, I took before pictures.

These pictures were helpful in developing my proposal for the selection committee.  I submitted two different designs for the same room.

Both proposals were built around a copper colored silk I had on hand.
Fabrics were selected.

A floor plan was drawn in 1/2" scale showing the room and planned furniture placement.

Near the end of March I began work.

The upholstered cornices were made first.  The upholstered headboard was made followed by the silk comforter and canopy drapes.  After the love seat was slip covered the dressing table, chairs, night tables and decorative pillows were completed.
Completed window treatements.

Now I would like to show you the before pictures, followed by the design drawings, followed by the finished room.
